About dafne

dafne is online individual therapy with US-licensed therapists, in your own language. We match you with a therapist licensed in the state where you live, who speaks your language and understands where you come from.

Why we started

Since 2022, our team of therapists and psychologists has worked with Spanish-speaking clients across the United States, carrying out psychological evaluations. Through that work, we saw the same thing again and again: many people needed ongoing therapy and had very few places to turn.

We were disheartened by the lack of affordable care in Spanish and other languages. And we were even more disheartened by how often people simply went without. Some couldn't find a therapist who spoke their language. Others couldn't afford one. Many didn't feel they could ask at all.

In 2026, we launched dafne to close that gap.

"Our work starts before the first session: breaking the barriers that keep people from asking for help at all."

Why dafne?

dafne is named after Dafne, one of the most loved psychologists on our team. She has dedicated her career to supporting vulnerable members of the immigrant community, especially to breaking down the stigma many immigrants feel about asking for help or going to therapy, even though therapy is widely accepted and celebrated in the US.

For Dafne, therapy is an investment in yourself. When you work on your mental health, new doors open, opportunities feel within reach, and relationships grow stronger. That is the spirit we carry in our name.

Our mission

To make affordable, licensed therapy available to everyone in the US, in their own language.

What makes us different

Every dafne therapist is a mental health professional licensed in the United States. That matters: it means your therapist meets the professional and ethical standards of the state where you live, and is authorized to treat you there.

We match you by state and language, so you can speak naturally, without translating how you feel. Today we have licensed therapist coverage in all 50 states.
